What Are the player decisions in a game of Blackjack?
The player decisions begin in the game only after each player has his initial two cards. He can pick from four options of “hit”, “double down”, “split a pair” or “stand”. There are different gestures for each option. Some casinos allow a fifth option “surrender”. Here we will tell you briefly the meaning of each of these player decisions and why gestures are important in the game.
If a player chooses “hit” he can take another card from the dealer. The gesture is to scrape the cards against the table in handheld position and touch a finger that is facing up to the table or to wave the hand towards his self. Choosing “stand” means that the player wants no more cards. “Stick” and “stay” are also alternatives used. The gesture for this is to slide cards under bet in handheld position and with face up, to wave hand in a horizontal manner. (more…)
